Once you’ve signed up, click on custom size and put in the width and height of your cover. The book cover is basically going to be rectangular in shape and it’s going to include the space for the back cover, space for the front cover, and the bit down the middle which is the spine. The size is going to be dependent on two factors: the size of the notebook and the number of pages. This notebook is going to be 6 by 9 inches, which is a common size for a small pocket type notebook, and it’s going to be 120 pages. Once you’ve created your cover, download it to your computer as a PDF file.
Getting the Interior for the Notebook
The next step is to get the interior for your notebook. You can do this for free by going to my gumroad shop and downloading the lined paper option. Once you’ve downloaded it, upload it to the Amazon KDP platform.
Uploading to the Amazon KDP Platform
The final step is to upload your cover and interior to the Amazon KDP platform. Once you’ve signed up, click on bookshelf and then click on add paperback. Fill out all the necessary information, including the title, subtitle, author name, and description. Upload your cover and interior, and then click on publish your paperback book. Congratulations, you’re now a published author!
